B&B Villa Giò is a family-run bed and breakfast, established in 2026 with the idea of welcoming, on an exclusive-use basis, groups of friends, large families and small parties seeking a stay defined by tranquillity, comfort and togetherness.
For many years, the attic of the house was lovingly lived in by Giovanna’s children and their friends, a place for gathering, studying and celebrating special moments. Today, this same space opens its doors to guests, preserving the authentic warmth and charm of a true family home.
Set within a beautiful 10,000-square-metre private park, B&B Villa Giò is the ideal retreat for those wishing to experience the mountains in a peaceful and secluded setting. It is perfect for hikers exploring the stunning Valsassina valley, for small working groups looking for an informal yet welcoming environment, and for friends who wish to reconnect and enjoy precious time together, surrounded by the quiet beauty of a historic villa.
All guest rooms are located in the attic on the first floor, accessible exclusively via an internal staircase. The rooms offer an intimate and cosy atmosphere; two of the four rooms also share a charming small balcony, while a covered terrace provides an additional delightful corner for relaxation. The entire attic features elegant parquet flooring throughout.
Each room is furnished with a double bed, which can be converted into twin beds upon request, and includes a television. In the spacious hallway leading to the rooms, guests will find a refrigerator and a kettle with a selection of herbal teas. On the same floor there are two bathrooms with showers.
The bathrooms are designed to be shared when hosting groups of friends or family groups of six or more guests. For smaller bookings, each bathroom is assigned for exclusive private use.
One of Villa Giò’s greatest charms is its location: peaceful and tucked away, yet conveniently connected to the village of Maggio, which can also be reached via a pleasant pedestrian path of just under two kilometres.
The large park surrounding the villa offers breathtaking views of the Grigne and provides lovely outdoor spaces to relax and unwind during the warmer months. Guests arriving by car or motorcycle can also enjoy the convenience of a covered parking area.
A traditional Italian breakfast is served on the ground floor, with carefully selected individually packaged portions. The owner has chosen not only quality commercial products but, above all, artisanal specialties, many sourced from local Valsassina producers. This thoughtful choice reflects a commitment to authenticity and a celebration of the local territory.
